Technology in Practice - MS

Technology in Practice: Applications and Innovations is a completely digital supplemental curriculum that teaches students the importance of technology and innovation in daily life. The program’s focus on technology and pre-engineering concepts supports STEM goals, the National Research Council’s Framework for K-12 Education, and the Next Generation Science Standards.

Based upon the BSCS 5E instructional model, the program consists of three four-chapter modules that can be taught in any order and accessed from any Internet-enabled device. Whiteboard ready, the program’s unique student and teacher views facilitate whole-class or small-group collaboration.

Each module includes an introductory chapter called Doing Technology that begins the program. It emphasizes the important role technology plays in helping humans solve problems and establishes a basis for how students should perceive technology, engineering, and innovation.
